Craftsman chipper shredder lawn vac - replacement equivalent B&S engine needed

I have a 2006 craftsman vac that needs a new engine the vac is model 24A-070H799 or 247.77099
It has a Briggs & Stratton 123K02 0332 E1 vertical shaft engine.
This vac unit has always produced a lot of vibration and over the years it has literally shaken the engine apart.  The fan shroud has been repaired twice, the muffler has shaken off and required new bolts, the fan shroud and muffler shield are stress fractured beyond repair, the recoil starter has broken, there is low compression and it was difficult to start before the recoil starter failed.  Time for a new engine (or a new vac)
The 123K02 model of engine has been discontinued but don't know the engine specs to find a replacement equivalent.  A similar vac is still sold by sears and the manufacturer is MTD.
Any ideas on the correct or best fit replacement engine?

Another idea is that sears has the entire unit on sale for $429.

May be better off with the one on sale.

Also sound like the impelled is broke or out of balance. That is most likely what caused all the vibration.
