Mcculloch ProMac 510

I have a mcculloch promac 510 that won't start without starting fluid even when warm. and it wont stay running for more than a few seconds. if i let go of the throttle it stalls and dies. i took the carb apart cleaned it put it back together. i got the same results. i even tried using spay tuneup and nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you rebuild carb or just a cleaning? These types of carbs are hit or miss cleaning and rebuilding.

Was the metering diaphragm soft, it usually hardens up over time.
