Tecumseh 11 hp carburetor issue

I just rebuilt the carb on my Ariens snow thrower. It starts and runs great except for an occasional popping from the exhaust. It also shots gas out of the intake of the carb when I prime it? I don't thinks it's supposed to do that? Any ideas.

How much are you priming? You should only need to prime once or twice, if you press the primer too much, gas can leak out of the carb.

The occasional misfire sounds pretty much normal for that engine, I wouldn't worry about it

Thanks Turner, if I prime it 1 time it will drip on the floor? I don't remember it doing that before the rebuild.

Thanks Roy, it do think it has always popped out the exhaust on occasion, it just doesn't seem right, so I thought I would ask.
