Obsolete pulse pump

On a Briggs 8 hp horizontal engine, 196427-149-01, widely used on earlry DR brushmowers, the pulse pump is rectangular approx 2-1/4 x 1-5/8. All hose connection are on the left side. Catalog replacement 799056 is the current round unit with different radial connections. Due to placement of pulse source, space restriction under cowl and the small engine size no good options have been found to relocate without very exposed fuel lines. Part number 6520106, replaces 393-397, but appears to be a suitable rebuild kit based on observations. It is not identified wih this engine in any location, and no tech line questioned could confirm. Picture too large to attach. Anyone familiar?

Amazon has some reviews on the 393397 and 799056. Take a look, might be helpful.

I purchased a 393397, or it's replacement, and it does rebuild the obsolete pump 692-026, despite Briggs not listing it for the 196427 engine series. Good for another 20 years hopefully. Thanks Mikel1
