Kohler CH25S on a Bunton

Hello everyone!
I have a Kohler CH25S on a Bunton zero turn. I am not getting any spark at the plugs or fuel in the carb. I believe one of the safety kill switches is the culprit. How can I go about checking these to narrow down which one could be causing the no-start situation that I am in? Also, this is a SAM engine, could this be part of the problem?

Some background info:
I was given the mower and it did not run when I got it. The previous owner said that it had quit and he assumed it was the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and filter. The spec. label on the engine is not readable. I contacted Schiller Grounds to find out what engine it was, they said that it was probably a CH25S spec 68515. Seemed reasonable to me from what I could find poking around on the internet.

Thanks for any help that you guys can offer!

Do you have fuel flow to carb when cranking? Use a suitable container for the fuel when checking.

    Thanks for the reply Mikel1!
I have gotten into this engine some more over the last couple of days. Here is what I have discovered:
    1. Blown head gasket.
    2. Damaged blower housing.
    3. Damaged coil.
    4. Damaged flywheel.

Now I guess I have to ask myself; is it worth repairing, should I seek out a good used one, or a machine in better overall condition entirely?

    Any suggestions?

It's really up to you. I know I have gotten free stuff and really, really wish I wouldn't have worked on some of them.
