Kawasaki FH661V won't start.
I have a Cub Cadet with a Kawasaki FH661V motor. When i try to start it . All it does is trun over real slow then stop. But if i hook up a jumper to it. Then it spends real fast and start. I have put a new solenoid and Battery. Tested the starter is good. Then I justed the valves. Still wont start. Aim I missing something to check out?
Re: Kawasaki FH661V won't start.
The fact that it turns over well with jumper cables would indicate that the battery is in poor condition, either not fully charged or has internal issues. Test voltage while started is turning engine over slowly and see what the voltage is at that moment. It should not drop below 11 volts if it does then another battery should be installed. When purchasing another battery make sure the cold crank amps (CCA) is as high as you can find 260 is good..... more is better. You should also check to make sure it is being recharged as it runs.
