Thanks for the reply. Your picture shows a different carb fuel supply. Unless I am looking at the wrong thing. I am looking under the carb, where the gas filter is housed. There is a metal bowl under the filter gas housing, at the bottom of that bowl look like another cap,  I believe is the solenoid, that has two wires attached it. I believe each wire runs back to each spark plug.  MY John Deere is the 406777-0128-B1, I believe the ending part of the model # is B1 not E1. As I stated before it fires up and run a short while, just only from the gas I pour down in under the gas filter.  If this is the solenoid, how do I test it,,, di I need a plug/solenoid tester, and where do you purchase one??????

Any of these look like yours on link below

Might want to take a picture of your briggs model plate because I only see the E1.

No gnomes come around at night and charge it backup.lol
The alternator aka stator is under flywheel, produces ac voltage then rectified thru the voltage regulator to dc voltage to the battery. Start your mower, full throttle then check dc voltage. Should be 13+ volts at battery. If that is good then have your battery tested, usually a free service at most auto parts stores.
