Starting problem after using. Turns over but will not start. Engine is still warm.

My 18hp twin refuses to start after it has been warmed up.  Could this be a vapor lock or a gas cap problem?  I use tractor year around so gas is fresh.

You could try loosening or removing fuel cap to see if it makes a difference.
So does it run well until you cut it off and try to restart?

Engine runs great until I shut it off which leads me to think it is not a bad gas cap.

I would give it some choke. If nothing then a shot of carb cleaner into carb throat or some fuel with choke off. Not much can affect both cylinders at the same time, if both cylinders are working.

Coil may be getting hot.  If you shut it down, the heat is not blown away as when it's running and perhaps the coil is breaking down.  Seen this once.
