Husqvarna blower tube

I just inherited a Husqvarna 145BF, which I guess is the California version of the 145BT.

It only has one tube after the flexible section, and I'm looking to find another tube to make it longer.  The rigid tube I have steps down in diameter almost immediately after the flex section, and is 2.5" in diameter most of it's length.  I've read in other forums that some of the newer machines develop more velocity as a result of a more gradual reduction in diameter, more like a cone in the end section.  I'm wondering if I need a new center section that's 3' throughout, with a reducer in the end section?

Also, is there a generic handle I can clamp onto the tube to make it easier to hold onto?

Thanks,
Don
