Kawasaki FH680V-BS13 shuts down while operating
It happens intermittently. Seems to happen more the hotter it is outside. Never happens until the engine is hot (say 20 minutes into running) When it shuts down if you don't return the key to the off position it will not restart without a long rest. If you cycle the key to off and then restart it fires right back up. Actually when I notice it starting to sputter if I quickly cycle the key off and back on it comes right back to life and never even shuts down. What is the likely culprit?

Check the after fire fuel solenoid on the carburetor and it associated wiring. I had JD ZTR last year that the terminals in the connector were loose fitting causing problems.
