Ariens 932001 Compact Sno-Thro replacement wheel

I inherited a Ariens snowthrower from my neighbor, model number 932001.

The hard rubber wheels were completely bald, with big holes that would pack with snow. It still ran, but I decided to replace the wheels. I ordered a pair of Jack's part number 07124100, wheel assembly, and they look the right size, but these are tubeless inflatable, not hard rubber.

Jack's site says they're the right wheel for this model, but I thought I'd ask here. Think I ought to go ahead and replace the old ones? Appreciate any advice.

Go with the new tires. The non pneumatics were useless for traction unless chains were installed then they would shake your fillings loose.

    Thanks a million, Roy!
I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes.
My neighbors will complain if we have a snowy winter and blame it on me for upgrading the snow thrower.
I have a 1977 Ariens model that my next door neighbor bought new. When we moved in, that's how I met him, because he cleared our sidewalks before I could get out there with the shovel. His kids had grown up years before and moved away. But then his wife died, and he started failing, so I took over, using his mower and snow thrower, mowing his grass in the summer and clearing his driveway and sidewalks in the winter. When he died, his kids told me I could keep his snowthrower. In his memory, I clear the sidewalks to the left of me for one house and to the left for two houses and around the corner. It's a great neighborhood.
