MTD Carb

I have a 3hp MTD single stage HSK600 snowblower which wont start. There is new gas and I took the bowl off and cleaned the jets with carb spray then sprayed up inside carb and re-assembled the float, float pin and bowl, that was the first time and it worked. then a couple of days later it wouldn't start so I repeated the whole process again only this time it won't start. There is a new spark plug and I'm getting lots of spark, and the gas line is ok, is there anything else I should be looking at to fix this. thanks

First it is not MTD engine but is a Tecumseh HSK600 (no spec number given).

It is possible that the needle seat has swollen shut since you sprayed carburetor cleaner into the carburetor. Carburetor cleaner swells rubber.

That is an old engine, the fuel line may be crumbling. Is the tank clean?
