17.5 Intek swap Wiring Nightmare

Craftsman 247.288811 with 31C707-3346-G2/ motor, which blew apart.

Ordered 31R907-0007-G1 to replace.

Old motor was (I believe) dual circuit, while the new has a rectifier and different charging system. Have been told that I HAVE TO swap stators, but that isn't possible as the thrashed old motor is gone.

We got soaked on this rider BEFORE the engine blew, so any and all help is very much appreciated - I'm about at the end of my rope.

Uploading wiring pics isn't working, will try to post in reply.

This is what I have coming off of the new motor. Again, old motor didn't have a rectifier.

Should simply connect up with you losing the lights as the dual circuit provided AC for the lights so they only operated while the engine was running.

If you wanting the lights working as they do now simply remove the blue wire and connect to the red wire of the fuel solenoid (afterfire solenoid). This way it operates off the L terminal of the keyswitch. Your lights then comes on when ever your keyswitch is on even if the engine is not running. That should be the only wiring difference.
