Does the engine have a lot of hours on it? While the cover is off remove the rod caps and have a look at the bearing surfaces. Also check the clearances with plastiguage if they look ok.

Replacing the seal alone will not a low oil pressure problem if it exists. Normally you need to verify that there is actually low oil pressure by using a pressure gauge as the sensor could be bad. I have Kawasaki that was tripping the low oil light on a JD 925A that only a defective sensor.

Now that you got the crankcase cover off you should at least check the oil pump gerotor clearances since you suspect oil pressure problems. I don't have the specs here as I don't have the service manual to go by. Any wear in the gerotor will cause oil pressure problems. Also check the pressure regulator (pressure relief) spring and ball area for foreign materials and wear damage.

Just because it is low hours doesn't means a whole lot as every engine and situation is different. I have seen some engines have short life and others have long life.

Ok thanks! The oil light comes on much quick the warmer outside it is. If I use it when it’s cool, like 50’s-60s, it will only lightly flicker after an hour of use. Above 80 and it flickers in about 20 minutes. How can I check the actual pressure? Does a gauge screw into the same spot as the sensor? Thanks!

Yes it should work as long as the size and threading is correct. Most are 1/8-27 NPT.

Oil pressure: 2.8 kgf/cm2 (39.8 psi) / 2,000 min-1 (rpm) and more

The additional info does indicate that you may have clearance problems somewhere in the pump or bearings/bushings from wear. This is due the expansion of the metals. As Roy said plastigage works for rod cap bearings but other bushing and journals require calipers and comparing to the engine specs.

Normally the Honda service manuals can be only downloaded from Honda's eBay or Amazon stores. Price depends on the manual and they send you the latest printed hard copy. I have found a pdf copy for the GX630 full service manual online.

The oil pump gerotor clearance checks are in section 13-4 (PDF page 110)

Also, the gerotor, is that part number 2 in the diagram?

That would the outer ring of gerotor (oil pump). That is another part goes inside it that is one lobe less.

Pretty much says "Houston we have a problem". You definitely have an oil pressure problem.

Make sure the seal surface on the crankshaft is clean and smooth. Before installing the cover make a seal protector from a piece of thin plastic or card. Slip it into the seal then guide it over the shoulder, pull out when done. This prevents the seal lip from being cut or folded over.

Should have been a new topic than hijacking this thread. But they are usually in one of two places either the owners manual or the IPL (illustrated parts list) though sometimes there are none provided.

Ok, so looking around a bit, the carb could have been causing oil in gas. So, took that apart, and float looked good, like new. Tested fuel cut solenoid, that was also good. So, that is back together, and the front cover is back on, waiting for rtv to cure.

Did you pressure test the carburetor. It should at least 5-7 psi inverted with the normal weight of the float holding the needle valve shut. Now Honda will hold pressure but there are times they don't always do which is why most Honda engine have a fuel shut off valve.
I put on a Honda filter, and I noticed a difference in the holes between the Honda and the KN filter I had on there. The Honda has more hole. Could this cause low oil pressure? The Honda is on the right.

Usually a replacement filter while be of the same design which these are not.
