11 hp Briggs uses oil

My 11 hp Briggs in a 111 John Deere mower uses quite a bit of oil It was leaking oil on the bottom side, so I replaced the crank seal and the pan gasket. That stopped the leak but the oil consumption continues. The engine does not smoke at all and runs good. Can't figure where the oil is going. Using 30 wt Briggs oil. Thought the breather was ok but could that be the problem? If that was not working right wouldn't it be smoking some?

If the breather has failed the engine should smoke and the air filter would be covered in oil. How often are you having to add oil?

After mowing for 1.5 hours it's down about a half a pint. Have to add every time I mow, although sometimes it takes more than others

Either leaking or burning oil, either that or gremlins are taking your oil
