Old Briggs and Stratton carburetor parts

I have a 1978 or 1979 MTD riding mower with an 11 HP Briggs & Stratton motor. I can not find the model number. The carburetor looks like a 491031/490499/491026 that I have found on a search and should fit a Model 281707.
what I would like to find is a carburetor repair kit.

The engine numbers will be stamped into the shroud directly above the spark plug and should look like this 252707-xxxx

thanks Roy, The muffler covers this part of the shroud. I'd hate to remove the muffler.

    It should not be difficult.
