Is it Possible?

A few years ago I purchased a portable generator. It is a Briggs & Stratton Storm Responder 5500 Watt. Model is 030430-01. It came with a recoil starter which was okay at the time. Now that I am old I would like to put an electric starter on it. Either a battery pack or a 12VDC so that I could start it off my pickup. Are there kits available for this unit? Thanks. Pat

Welcome aboard!!! The electric start version of that engine uses p/n 695479 starter (12VDC) and p/n 695485 flywheel. You would also need a starter switch. By the time you are finished you would be better off selling your generator and purchasing one equipped with e/s.
