26 hp Briggs to a 27 hp briggs

I have a Wright zto 52 that has a 26hp briggs model 44p977 impossible to find parts so I bought a 49t877 I’m worried they might not be the same I get motor tomorrow and as far as finding info on swap I’m at a stand still I hope I didn’t mess up and buy the wrong motor... any help is appreciated thanks

As long as  the crankshaft length and diameters are the same eveything will bolt up. You may have to install the alternator from the old engine if the connectors don't match.

I got a minor question here. What is the 44P977 type and trim numbers? I might be able to get Briggs to provide an IPL if one of the none G5 trims but it might a proprietary engine design for Wright only like some the engine for John Deere.
