Craftsman 247.886940

I have a Craftsman SnowBlower 247.886940 I am operating at about 7800 feet.  The engine starts  and idles ok, but stalls with any kind of a load.  I pulled, cleaned and replaced the carb with no improvement...carb is a 951-05251...Huayi M140424 170SA A11269.  Anyone familiar with a high altitude kit for this carb...or perhaps an adjustable replacement?  Anyone having similar problems with a similar machine/carb?  Suggestions?

Nothing listed in the IPLs so you would need to contact MTD about the MTD 270-QU - MTD Engine (2015) that you have but I think your out of luck for high altitude kit. I think their number is 1-800-269-6215.

kshansen-

Good question.  I was working on this unit for a friend.  The snow blower came with the house he bought last summer. At the time, he started it up and it started easily and idled good.  Now that we have snow, he gave it a try and it immediately stalled under load.  I did some basics on it...cleaned plug, new gas, removed cleaned and replaced carb.  Still starts, idles good but continues to stall under load.  When I cleaned the carb, I just disassembled, cleaned and shot the jets with carb cleaner.  Bowl and float were clean (no deposits), needle valve looked good, and jets passed carb cleaner freely. The load is not excessive as both wheels and impeller/auger turn freely by engaging controls and pulling the starter cord.  Any ideas?
