Need Help with Campbell Hausfield FP209501 Compressor

I have a problem with my compressor where it pressurizes past the 110 PSI limit and then there is a loud pop and it loses all of its pressure. After reading around the web I picked up the following from Jack's:

FP209538AVPRESSURE SWITCH 80 111$9.00FP209532AVCheck Valve Kit1$2.23V215104AV125 PSI ASME SAFETY V1$13.2
I installed them all today and I am still having the same problem. I was expecting that the pressure switch would cause a shutoff at 110 PSI, but it appears that it is running until 125 PSI where the Safety valve opens.

If the system has 110 psi max pressure rating then the pressure switch needs to be set to a lower cutoff setting. Most air compressor pressure switches are set for 125 psi that I dealt with over the years. Most likely someone just sent out a 125 psi cutoff set switch. Now I don't know if it was the OEM or somewhere else along the line.

Also check that the port where the pressure switch screws into is clear of any obstruction so the switch receives the trip pressure correctly.

Thanks for the info. I'll take it apart and make sure that everything is clear. As I took another look at the diagram, it is possible I have the two hoses reversed. I had a difficult time get the hose off from the old pressure switch and it was an hour or so before I was trying to put it all back together. The way that everything was supposed to go back together wasn't fresh in my mind, so I may have messed that up.
