Do you have spark when it dies?
I have also seen spark plugs do that as well.

I have a 128 ld Trimmer , having issues , so i bought a rebuilt carburetor off amazon and installed , starts right up but can not adjust idle screw and still have the bog when trying to use the trimmer . i read on another blog about carbon build up in muffle , fix seems possible , remove muffler and burn off carbon
anyone out there have similar issues with a solution
