Kohler XT149 Toro Mower

Bought this mower new a few years back and have had a continuous problem with the carb leaking fuel. It was in several times under warranty, but still have the same issue. They replaced the carb under warranty and that didn't help. After using the mower several times without an issue when I finish mowing the carb will leak fuel until the tank is drained. I take the carb off and put it back together and it will run fine for another few times. I was going to buy a new fuel tank and replace the fuel line, but I don't want to throw parts at it without being sure. Any thoughts.

Any debris in the fuel tank? Doesn't take much to keep inlet needle from seating correctly.

Thanks I did blow the fuel tank out once last year and the same problem has occurred. That is why I was thinking of getting a new tank and new line.

Wouldn't hurt to replace the fuel line, also on the diagram I was looking at had a fuel filter in fuel tank. May as well replace it while your at it. I would probably just clean the fuel tank but if you want to replace it that works too.

Thank you. Also, I wasn't sure if the fuel cap is vented. Didn't know if that would cause the problem.

Fuel cap appears to be vented, the pressure would have to get get high enough inside tank to override the pressure on float needle to flood carb. Usually when the vent fails due to the lower air pressure it causes vapor lock. You can easily loosen the fuel cap if you'd like
