honda engine g200 how you remove carb

I have a like 30 yr old FR500 tiller
with a R200 engine
I need to replace the carb but I cant get it off the linkage to the governer and carb cant come off  and I cant slide off the 2 posts..  I wanna know does the govner arm have to come off.. and if so how you re set that as I think you adjust that arm

You should be able to rotate the throttle shaft and lift the link out, should be no need to disturb the arm.

    tried  twisting but didn't work
so I cant post pics I see ugh

but the Z bend on the govenner  is side ways
and then Z bend on the throttle body is the opposite direction

only way I can see is the rod needs to come up or so

ill re try later today   wish there was a video on these old carbs not these plastic ones that hold the throttle cable down

You may need to remove the two mounting stubs in order to get the carburetor off. I have seen several Honda engines that I had to do this and boy it is a pain to get all the gaskets align correctly without them falling off.

Double nut [two nuts tighten against each other] the studs in order to remove them, use the inner nut to remove and the outer to install.

Many of the newer Honda engine are using regular hex screws instead of studs.

Well that sucks, 100 bucks down the drain. Your only hope is to either find a running G200 or try fitting an ohv GX160

that's right  100 bucks  pisses me off cuz I didn't know the engine broke inside  when I was tillering and it shut down on me  I saw the fuel bowl fell off the carb  and noticed it rotted away the shaft inside so I couldn't bolt the bolt back up... but I guessing the tiller broke inside and carb just broke same time  I dunno… as I assembled it  and put gaskets on etc  and pulled it and then heard that banging

    what size is a gx160
honda dealer ask me to measure things up  and they say engine be around 500 dollars

but the bolt pattern is 3 span  least I can tell 1 side not sure the measures if thehy different other side
and the crank is a 3/4 keyed
and a new tiller is 1569 before taxes  frig
