Kohler command pro 27hp

I picked up this 27hp Command- Pro and want to start it on the Bench. There are 4 wires coming off the engine and I'll have to go out and get the colors of them before closing here. I dont know what I have to do to get juice to the ignition. Can anyone tell me how I need to wire this so I can start it?   Ok...The Plug coming off the engine is a 4 Wire. This is different fron my other Kohler 27hp. There are two Red wires together followed by a White, Green and Blue. What do I need to do with these wires to get Ignition?

Need the model and spec numbers to narrow the wiring but for ignition nothing is as this is a magneto ignition system though one would be to ground the coil out to kill the engine. There is one wire going to the fuel (after fire) solenoid that will need 12 vdc on it so fuel can flow though the carburetor nozzle.

Normal wiring per service manual but may different depending options the Equipment OEM wanted.

One red wire is 12vdc from the battery terminal on the starter. The other provides 12vdc via steering diodes to the fuel solenoid.

White wire is the magneto kill. (NEVER hook 12 vdc to this wire as you will fry your ignition coil's electronics)

Blue is for the starter solenoid engagement, Normally.

Green is usually goes to oil pressure switch to provide engine shut down if lost of oil pressure is detected.

I don't want to install this engine on the Mower since the Clutch assembly from my other 27hp won't fit it properly. I am not questioning this fit. I need to get this engine running to demonstrate it runs so I can sell it and get another Engine that fits my Mower. I understand what your saying about the different color wires but it just dosen't register in my brain what I should do to get ignition. I have a battery hooked up to the Starter. Now I have this Plug looking at me and I don't know what I should do with the wires. The Battery simply Powers the Starter as far as I can see. Do I need to us a jumper wire to put juice to any of these wires? As for the model number I can't help you with that since there is no sticker on the engine. My Partner bought this engine from a guy that told him he had bench started it. It should never have been bought at all since the plug setup is different from the original engine. I need to get this thing running. The coils should be fine since I have nevr placed power to the white wire. The gas I'm not concerned about since I should be able to start it on ether.   Any insight would be great.   Thanks

Almost midnight here.... Q. Do I put 12vdc to the red wires on the plug and run a jumper from the Blue to the solinoid? Is this what I need to do to get ignition based on what you gave me? Is it that simple?  I hate wiring!!

This late I just quit for the day until the day. But I don't work third shift either. As for hating wiring try all white wires with tiny number imprinted. I use to work equipment that over 100 white wires. Now that can be hair pulling at times especially when you got to open a bundle to trace a problem.

It is a magneto ignition system. No external voltage is needed for it operate; just a spinning flywheel and a strong magnet. Yes +12 vdc needs applied to red wires. this opens the fuel solenoid. The small red wire from the starter solenoid is the feed from the voltage regulator for battery charging.

As the service manual indicates the blue wire would going to the starter solenoid to trigger the starter rotation for starting the engine.

Can I use the Heads off the 25hp to replace the heads now on the 27hp. They look the same but maybe I'm missing something here, Are the Heads compatible? What is the difference if any?
