model#951942     serial#951942-C    20 hp Kohler  Mechanical trans/rear end.   old but gotta replace clutch shaft/ /

brake shaft bushings. The spring and seperating the shaft for bushing replace is my main concern. as you can probably figure, I`ve replaced all belts over the years, but the bushing(although plastic) are of concern. but before I start the job, how do you break down the shaft assembly from foot area to other foot area, I see no evident way to remove the shaft, from main spring to seperating shaft to slide in bushings.   Please help, Im 67 years young, but on SS so can`t afford to pay. But I have an enormous amount of tool, and know how to use them.....or thought I did!  Thank you for responding!

One problem, the bushings are no longer you would to get custom bushings made. From the IPL its looks there two roll pin that must be removed so you can slide shaft out. Don't lose these either they are also NLA.  It is not going to be an easy job either as you go though several twists and turns to just it out.
