B&S Model #404437 0110 01 86052012 valves

I own a Snapper LT12502 and is has a Briggs 12 HP twin model 404434, type 0110 01, code 86052012. Would anyone know the gap setting for the exhaust and intake valves? I am doing a valve seat repair but I have no gap between the push rods and valves.

As far as I know you got to be a Briggs dealer.

Correct, it is a dealer only site. The repair manual is p/n 271172.

Thanks but I ran into some damage to the valve seat on the left side that I am trying to repair but doesn't look good. Too bad this was a great running engine that I let my 86 year old dad use while I rebuilt his for him. He doesn't hear all that well and ran it for a couple of weeks with the seat out and the valve pounding the seat into the block.

Too me it is damage too much to repair easily. I am sure there guys that can build up the seat area, recut it to fit the new valve seat but that costs a lot to do.

I finished my repair yesterday and ran two gas tanks through the engine. The valves were way out and had no clearance so I set the gap correctly and she runs great. Now I don't know how long she will run with this type of repair but thanks to everyone who helped. You guys are great.

Run it till it drops, you have nothing to lose. I staked them with a center punch in three places then went around the seat with a flat one.
