tractor supply logsplitter with B&S 11.5 HP won't start

I have to squirt a little gas into carb to get it to start a couple of times and warms up, it will run fine once it warms up.  I've replaced carb, plug, fuel filter, and it's getting spark when first trying to start.  I'm at a loss now!

Thx Ray

A couple possible configs for before a date code 07122600. Either manual or automatic choke. IF automatic choke it may not be fully closing and a simple adjust should clear up the cold starting problem.
