I have a Scag 48" walkbehind. Every time I engage the blades it starts but kills the engin
ANyone have any ideas on what might be causing my mower to stop running when I engage the blades or begin to run in forward gears.? It starts right up and will run in reverse no problem. But when I engage the blades or put it in forward gears it kills the engine. If someone can start me in the right direction it would be great.

What model scag do you have?
Could be safety switch/wiring problem, best to isolate the engine to be sure of the problem.
