Poulan Chainsaw won't start after new carb
Poulan Chainsaw won't start after new carb
Hey,
Wondering if someone had any ideas on why my chainsaw is not starting. I am not very mechanically inclined, but usually like to try and repair things on my own.
Background:
Have a 18inch poulan chainsaw. It was giving me issues, shutting down during idle when used, then difficult to start.
For $20 on Amazon I was able to get a new carb, air filter, spark plug, bulb, fuel lines and fuel filter, so I figured why not replace it all.
I put the new plug, carb, bulb and replaced two of the fuel lines, one from the tank to the carb and from carb to the bulb. I didn't replace the return line from the bulb to the tank, but will do that once I get a chance.
After I did that I cannot get the chainsaw started at all now.
I checked that I have spark (tried both new and old plug) and put new fuel in (trufuel). Priming bulb has fuel.
I am able to start it if I put some starter fluid in the plug hole (I know, not supposed to with 2-stroke).
I think this tells me its not getting gas, but I can't figure out why if I see fuel in the priming bulb.
Appreciate all suggestions!
Dan
