Honda FG110 tiller won't start

I have a Honda FG110 tiller that I can't get to start. This is it's third season and it isn't used very much. It started the first time I used it this year and ran like a top. The next time, a month later, when I tried to start it, I pumped the prime button until I saw gas going through the gas lines, I choked it and pulled the rope. I tried about 30 pulls with the choke on then off. I didn't smell gas like it was flooded. I waited until the next day and tried again. There was fuel in the prime bulb so all I did was pull the starter rope. It started and ran so I took the choke off. It died and I haven't been able to get it started since.
I put fresh fuel in this year and checked the air filter. I checked the plug last year when I had difficulty starting it and it was fine.
I don't think I'll ever buy a small engine Honda product again.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Don't fault Honda, the problem is lack of maintenance. Tillers get used infrequently, the gas has deteriorated and fouled the carburetor. Did you dump the old gas before adding fresh? Disassemble the carb paying particular attention to the main jet and emulsion tube behind it, they have to be CLEAN!
