Craftsman transaxle
I have a older Craftsman LT1000 riding mower model #917.271634. I need new shift keys for it, which part number do I need?

They are part number 138236 but they are no longer available for that Dana-transaxle D4360-140.

Is there a transaxle replacement that will bolt up to that mower?

What you will find on this older is just used good transaxles. Either Peerless MST-206-545C ((Tecumseh PN 794691) Current new list price $400) or Spicer version will fit from another LT1000. The Peerless uses the same shifting linkage but I think Spicer has a slight different shifter linkage.
