Craftsman 32CC Bushwacker

I inherited a Craftsman Bushwacker that was originally bought in 1987. It’s in like new condition with the exception of the fuel line. Nothing left of the as they have crumbled to nothing. My question is there are 2 holes in the BOTTOM of the tank. I see from videos I’ve watched that the small on is the filter and the large on is for the pressure line fitting . Where do I position the pressure line fitting ? At the bottom of the tank? Should it be submerged in the fuel or sucking air at the top. All the videos I see for newer tanks show the lines coming in from the top, not the bottom.

Most of those Poulan trimmer have a fitting on the end of the larger line and with fitting installed the line is pull up to the through hole. Plus that line should only be venting air/fuel and not sucking. If sucking then either the remote primer or base base check valves are bad.

Yes it does have a fitting for he large hose. So it just fits into the hole at he bottom of the tank?

No, it goes in the squared up large fuel line end and the fuel line is pull up against the inside of the tank.

Got to be careful if going with the Echo line as some carburetor fittings (nipples) are smaller depending the carburetor model.

That’s what I meant. Pull it against the hole to seal. I got it now. Thanks
