5HP Briggs and Stratton on Wood Splitter

I have a 5 HP Briggs and Stratton motor on a wood splitter. Its an older motor. Original owner has video of it starting and running 3 years ago. Been sitting ever since in his garage. Its has compressor , cleaned fuel tank, air filter, and cleaned the hell out of it. Still no start, pull cord and starting mechanism moves easily by hand and by cord. Cleaned stator up for better spark, replaced spark plug, no spark. Would anybody have any ideas for me to try?

Welcome! It has points behind the flywheel that are likely done. Forget about them, cut the wires where they disappear and install the replacement 397358 Magnetron coil. Use a business card to set the gap. Alternatively you can install p/n 394970 Magnetron kit which is less money but a little more work.
