Carb Question - Briggs Stratton 311777-0148-E1

Hello! My engine is dripping gas from the bottom of the carb. I am new to diagnosing small engines on mowers. I think it's called the solenoid - it drips down the bowl part of the carb, then onto the solenoid (I think) where the wire plugs into. The hoses look fine. It drops until the small fuel tube empties. I want to either repair the gaskets or get a whole new carb. I cannot seem to find the replacement that looks like mine. The solenoids all look different on the replacements. Also - my solenoid just spins and spins and never seems to unscrew - is that normal? I really want to get this fixed. It drips during/after use. The pic is attached but it's upside down from underneath. It's a troy bilt 13AD609G063

The solenoids are removed using a thinned down 1/2" or 12mm open end depending if Walbro, Nikki (both 1/2"), or Ruixng (12mm). This double flat is where the solenoid is attached to the fuel bowl.

And yes they do spin when forced.

There is two service carburetors for this engine depending which you currently have on the engine. What the LMT or part number on the current Walbro?

I am going to take it off and apart and let you know. I am watching some youtube videos on how to work on these. Thank you for replying. I am thinking it may just be a bad solenoid and/or a gasket but I have never worked on one of these before. I am good with my hands though so it shouldn't be terrible. I just have to understand what it wrong. I am guessing this is an original part. We bough the tractor from the 2nd owner and both owners took good care of it. I think something just wore out. It has a fuel shut off valve so it won't leak all dang day but even after use with it off and the valve off - it leaks gas everywhere. I am not sure from where - it comes down the bowl and drips off the solenoid.

I would check things out before ordering as it can be just be the seal, a hole in the fuel bowl, or the solenoid (kinda rare, I only seen one in 11 yrs to leak).

Ok thank you. What should I look for? I figure a cracked or hard seal around the bowl - or the plunger on the solenoid stuck shut perhaps? What are the common things? The tractor/engine is from 2000. Thanks. I am thinking a new air/fuel filter may be in order as well.
