Shindaiwa T262 starts and dies

Shindaiwa trimmer T262.  Has less  than 4 hours use.  replaced suction filter and hoses.  Fresh fuel, no carbon on plug.  Using starting fluid engine will start and die within 2 seconds.  After first ether start, it will start a few more times and did within 2 seconds.  Wore out my shoulder on it.  Purchased it new 2 years ago and used very little.   not a very good boat anchor, it almost floats..
