Is this Stihl wood boss part replaceable ?

I have a chance to buy a Stihl Wood Boss 028. Needs work and a good going over. Biggest problem is a broken cover on the right side of the case. In the diagram it is part number 29. They do not list that part by name so I am sure it is not READILY available. Can it be found? Can it be welded or brazed? Is it critical or can it be run as is? What other solutions may be available? I will include a photo of the actual saw.

Not sure if this will work or help but I'm trying to upload a parts breakdown that seems to show this part and the part number.
