Homelite model UT-20700 how to install the line

Hi all, I have a Homelite model UT-20700 weed eater and I am trying to figure out how the line is installed in the unit. I have attached a couple of picutres. Picture 20230530_181741_25 is the top part of the unit and 20230530_181727_25 is the bottom part that bolts on to the top part. To me, it looks like there is a spool missing from the top part but that is how it came to me. Can someone please help me confirm if I am missing a part?
