Holzfforma g372xp

I bought a Holzfforma g372xp from Amazon the first day I had it tried to tune it but was unsuccessful and it was running very rich it idled quite a bit. I decided to wait until the next day to try to tune it better. I haven't been able to get the chainsaw to start since. Looking for ideas on a place to start looking for the problem.

You shouldn't have to tune it brand new, but...

Pull the spark plug and check for spark.  I suspect right now it's fouled out.
Keep it plugged in to the plug wire, out of the engine and grounded to the head.

A new plug will likely get it started but your rich issue is still there.

What exactly did you do / turn / adjust to "tune it"?

Hi and lo screws. I've brought it to someone who repairs small engines he's had it for 3 weeks and can't figure it out. He says it has spark and it's getting fuel still won't start. My thought is the timing is off. Is that possible?

Anything's possible. Checking the keyway isn't difficult.

I'd remove the spark plug, hold the machine, spark plug hole facing
downwards..  Pull the starter cord and check for fuel coming of the hole.

Set both screws back to about 3/4 a turn out.

You may want to disassemble the carb and check for crap
holding the metering diaphram open or the needle held open
