Husqvarna 240 Top Cover Screw retainer stud

The cover that goes over the air filter and carb is attached to the body by three screws. These screws screw into brass colored "studs?" that are pressed into the body of the chainsaw. All three of these have come out and disappeared. I have been unable to identify what these are called, and where I can get some. Can anyone identify these?

Looks like an insert.

On Stihl saw's I come across, many (pull starters mostly) have that insert pulled out (commercial machines)

What I found that works great is to get a self locking nut (same threads as you have).
Attach a long bolt to the nut and heat with a heat gun (as hot as possible). Holding the bolt with a vise grip, now push the hot nut INTO THE BLOCK to get it started.

Once started, I use a hand held soldiering gun and further heat the nut while pushing it in deeper into the block.

I use a screw driver in the "V" of the gun to help press into the block. You can set it slightly deeper and "move" excess plastic (or use a zip tie) around the nut (obviously NOT closing it off)

The plastic will harden up around the new nut and will be stronger than the stock insert.

Dremel or file the surface flat again.

They are inserts.Called Screw-to-Expand Inserts for Through Holes in Plastic. Check hole size to see you need to increase sizing if possible.
