Tecumseh no spark

I have just come to this forum for the same reason, I have a 5hp Tecumseh on a Craftsman generator, did all the same things you have done as well as replaced the flywheel with the same result. I thought maybe there was something I was overlooking, except now I have had the identical problem with 3 gas trimmers of 3 brands, one push lawn mower with a Honda engine, a Generac generator with an 8hp Briggs, and 2 Poulan chain saws to date. My only  conclusion is that we are being purposely supplied with faulty ignition units to force sales of new units. The suppliers all refuse to even consider this by stating that if you install it, you own it, too bad, your fault. Anyone else having this experience?
