Briggs and Stratton 3HP Ignition Coil

I have an old Briggs and Stratton 3HP Model 80332 Type 0037-01 Code 79032993 and i need the conversion from points/condensing to electronic Ignition Coil or where can I buy this and what type do I need? I want to get rid of the old system and replace with conversion kit.

There are two ways to do this. You can add p/n 394670 Magnetron to the existing coil, either remove the points and plug the plunger hole or cut the wires and leave the points in. The quick, easy, (and more expensive) option is p/n 298274 armature, the original points type is no longer available.

@ Roy first the Magnetron conversion list isn't PN 394670 but was 394970. The 394670 is a bell-crank. It is now NLA. Also the 298274 coil is also NLA too.
 
damo1234 you need to order the 591420 Magnetron coil provided that you engine has an aluminum block; otherwise, you would need a Nova II ignitor or Atom module.

Ok, I had a senior moment, 394970 it is. Doh! The 298274 should automatically sub up to 591420, it will be available from Jack's or any Briggs dealer. The engine is aluminum block so no problems there.

We have them moments. Its just that I learned to double check my facts before posting. It saves the OP a lot headaches of bad searches.
 
As for auto subbing it should but since it was a points coil no one has thought that the Magnetron coil as a valid sub.

ok thanks guys i will source this part closer to home as i am in Ireland hopefully it will work for me engine has been idle for a long time so just trying to get some use out of it thanks
