Brand New PowerStroke Subaru Pressure Washer won't start 24 hours later

Bought a brand new PowerStroke Subaru Pressure Washer from Costco.

I truly did read the setup and operating instructions before for use (add oil, gas, charged battery over night, connect hoses, etc). It started on the first pull. Worked as perfectly without a single problem. Tested it for a half hour cleaning concrete sidewalk on clear afternoon. Turned off engine, turned off water, release all pressure from system, stored united properly after use.

The next day the pressure washer won't even begin to start either by electric start or pull start. Acts as if there no gas or missing sparkplug. Does not even give the slightest hint that its trying to start.

- Tried with choke on start or run position
- Gas tank full
- Oil added according to directions (came with 14oz bottle of engine oil)

I am not expecting anyone to solve the problem. What I hoping somebody might know of some reason why this would happen 24 hours after 1st operation that was flawless; no hints of a problems during first use.

Suggestions or ideas. What are some likely causes.

Thanks

Thanks for the link to the video. I had watched it prior to posting my problem here.

In my specific case I resolved it by taking it back to Costco. Costco has a quick\easy exchange process, which means they took my old one back, and gave me brand new one. In and out under 10 minutes.

There is more to my story that makes me leery of buying PowerStroke poducts in the future.

I got an exchange from costco, when home and quick determine the new one was missing items in the box. The pressure washer attachments were missing. The missing items were on the parts lists, and shown on the outside of box. Clearly a quality control error.

I called Costco 2nd time. They told me to come back and they would open another Powerwasher and give the missing parts; no need to bring back the pressure washer. I return to the store and went to the service desk and explained my issue. The staff person understood the problem already because another customer had been there 5 minutes before with exact problem; various items were missing, but not the same items missing from the one i had purchased.

Costco gave me the missing items that I needed. As I am leaving the of store manager was talking with staff about how they were going to proceed because they didn't want to continue to sell the pressure washers and have every customer come back because items were missing. I have no idea how they resolved it, but at least they weren't going to continue to sell them knowing the remaining pressure washers likely has items missing.

For me the pressure washer has worked fine since. I personally remain concern about PowerStroke quality control process. I won't be buying Powerstroke products in the future unless there no equal or better option, plus I would buy it from a store, such as costco, which makes returns\exchanges quick and easy.

Costco was great.
Powerstroke remains questionable

I have seen this happen, the store opens a box to rob parts for a customer then the unit goes back on the shelf without the parts being replaced. Then the next customer runs into the same problem. I worked in the outdoor power equipment industry for many  years, every piece of equipment was set up and preserviced before it went out the door. Most shops did not charge for this service although a small fee is common now, the margins on a lot of the entry level equipment are so thin the shop can't absorb the cost.
