223l husqvarna trimmer bevel gear grease?

Been tuning up my 223l that has low hours but has sat garaged for years. Bought all of my misc parts I needed from jack's and its running good.

During my tear down and rebuilding, I checked the grease in the trimmer's power head (bevel gear)

Have never touched the grease before, does this appear to warrant replacing? added a pic to the post here, if it helps here are 2 pics I hosted that are slightly bigger

Do I have to use the special Husqvarna Bevel Gear Grease for any certain reason? I read that Lucas #2 Red N Tacky is bad, is Mobil1 Synthetic Red also bad? Any detailed info would be appreciated as I like learning the reasoning behind things like this.

I do know that when replacing the grease on this model it should only be filled 2/3 full as stated in the workshop manual.

I wouldn't worry about it, that grease lookis ok. It isn't dried out and is not milky from water contamination.

Alright, I plan to be putting hours on the 223l; when the grease eventually needs replaced are there alternatives to the special husq bevel grease?

I understand that probably any #2 grease is probably fine for something like this but I am just wondering if the trimmer head greases sold (ex; husq and stihl sell the tubes) is a certain type of grease that has an important property? I've only found one source of info from an old forum post online saying that the stihl/husq grease is a "high sulfur" type but not sure if that is true nor why it is that type.

I am fine with buying the husq grease but I am just new to all this but really enjoy learning as much as I can about little things like this. Trying to find good books that contain more in-depth info on topics like this, if anyone has recommendations.

Thanks fellas!
