Disabling interlock on an MTD tractor

I've had this MTD/Yard Machines tractor since I bought it new in 2002.  600 series, the number's on the wiring diagram from a manual page.  Many times I've been tempted to get rid of the interlocks but I couldn't quite figure the system out so I put up with it.  Well, it finally quit working.  Mower out of gear, sitting on the seat, brake pedal pushed, all the usual stuff and nothing at all happens when I turn the key.  Time to get rid of it.  The battery is fine, it just won't even try to crank.  Somewhere there's gotta be someone who's done this dirty deed that all the literature tells you not to do.
 
Seat switch, brake switch, PTO switch are all part of it, but I don't get why some are double pole unless it's just to be confusing.  The interlock to the reverse switch I got rid of years ago, otherwise I couldn't mow in reverse.  But that was an easy one.  The circle with S,B,G,L,M,A is the ignition switch.  In a simple scenario there'd just be one loop of wire that went through all the switches that you could just bypass, but I can't tell what they had in mind.

It not that we can't tell you how to disable the safety system, it is a matter of liability. Telling you how to disable the system and do you it; then if you or other user gets hurt then you or them will try to and succeed in suing us for providing the info on how to do it and for the damages and injuries.
 
Besides it may not even be a safety problem as starter solenoids do go bad, fuses blow, ignition switches themselves can fail even a fail connection can be the problem. With the diagram that you have you got all the info needed to repair as long as yoou understand basic wiring.

That's nonsense. You aren't recommending him to do anything. You have NO liability. It's like telling someone how to cock a gun, buy bleach or cross the street.  People without law degrees need to stop watching TV shows. Do you think you can sue Google? He asked for instructions.  Did you intend to kill him? Then no chance of liability.

Agreed, it did more to discredit this forum than anything else.  I grew up on farms with real (2000 lb+) tractors, in fact I still own a Ferguson.
 
I don't remember exactly what I did but I pulled off the seat and fenders for access, touched up some paint while I was in there.  I think I ran a new wire from the S terminal on the key switch directly to the solenoid.  Took me a while.  But it also alerted me to the fact that both of those belts under there need to be replaced.  I'd never had that area apart before and I bought it new in 2002.

Actually since my post last year on this I had a customer bring in a Craftsman that a DIYer that repaired. The customer had gotten it back and was mowing his lawn when he was knock off by a tree limb. The mower continued mowing without the operator and only stop after hitting his brand new car. At least it didn't run over his kid.
 
The DIYer had bypass one safety and installed an incorrect one. They are now out of court about this; the customer  got his insurance deductible, my fees, court costs, and attorney's fees out of the DIYer. Those two jumpers was a costly mistake that I doubt the DIYer will make again.

Don't really see how it discredits this forum. It is a safety issue and these systems were put in place for the operators safety. You can sue over hot coffee, McDonald's making you fat, texting telling someone to kill themself, so what's to stop someone from claiming that on the Internet. Frivolous lawsuits are filed everyday.
We are concerned of the safety of you, your loved ones or anyone else who may acquire your equipment.
If your hell bent on bypassing those systems then that is your decision, wiring is to complete the circuit if NO or NC on the switch. GL
