Stihl BG-86 Broken Off Muffler Bolt in Block

Hello All,
I am new to the forum and have an issue with my Stihl BG-86 Leaf Blower.  While blowing leaves yesterday, I noticed that the muffler assembly was quite loose.  Upon inspection after removing the cover to access the muffler, I discovered that (1) of the (2) muffler bolts was broken off at the base.  My question is what do I need to remove this broken bolt.  It is broken off flush with the head.  I assume the head is aluminum and I don't want to damage anything else.
Beyond the repair, what do I need to do to insure that these bolts stay in place?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum! That is a tough one, You would need to carefully drill it out with a small number bit then clean the threads with the correct sized metric tap, probably 4mm. This is a job best left to the pros.

The muffler screws are self tapping T-27 socket head M5-.8 x 20mm.

As said best left to those that is experience in the the drilling out of old screw as it is probably galled in place. Then sized to accept a M5-.08 stainless steel heli-coil. The hole would need to drilled to 5.2mm before using the special heli-coil tap and insertion tool.

Thanks for the quick replies, gentlemen - I took the initial advice and have taken the blower to my dealer for repairs.  They have all of the tools and know how required.  Thanks again!
