How to determine model for MTD Yard Machine Tiller without model/serial plate

I bought a used tiller off FB marketplace. It runs well enough, but has a small leak on the plastic 90 that joins the fuel line from the tank with the carb assembly (not sure I'm using the correct terms as i'm not mechanically inclined!).

When I went to look up parts, it seems I need the model number. I cant even determine the year of this thing. Not sure how to go from here to get it fixed. Dont want the tiller to leak gasoline all over the freshly tilled ground!

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

In this what you are needing the model number of the engine along type/spec number. Most likely you have a Briggs, if so then number are on the engine somewhere.

Look for numbers stamped into the shroud near the carburetor. They may also be stamped into the valve cover by the spark plug if the engine is new enough.

It is a Briggs 5 HP motor. I found these numbers stamped on the side (see attached photo). I'm guessing this is what I am looking for? Any idea which one is the serial or product number I'd use to find my part?

That is what you need to find engine parts, now we are cooking. When looking up parts enter 110402-0161. 000320 tells us the engine was built year 2000, third month, 20th day. You will frequently see before and after notes so this is important information.

The fuel connector at the carburetor is PN 692317. Note this is press fit part and is not meant to rotated once install though many techs and owners think so, just causes it to leak.

Eureka! PN 692317 is the piece that is leaking!!! This group ROCKS! I hope I can repay the kindness in some way.

With gratitude,
