Why can’t i break through plowed snowbank
Hi. i am at a loss. i have had an Ariens 1024 snowblower for years. and it’s never been able to cut through the snow at the end of my driveway. I live on a very busy main road and it gets plowed constantly. When i go to run the snowblower through it, it just either runs upward (handles are forced downward) or stays and spins. It is an older machine. i’m gonna guess 15 years or so. From what i’ve heard that’s not the end of its life. i just had it tuned all up and fixed anything seen. It runs well. Is 10hp underpowered? also i have an odd yard that wants me to throw snow far and i the Ariens jist doesn’t do that. I ask because i have snowblower envy i guess. i see people using snowblowers in my neighborhood and many seem to cut right through. Any ideas beside run out and by another? Also... If i did decide to get a new one, what could/should i sell the ariens for?
