Cub Cadet backfire / won't start

To sum up, bought it new last season, used 4 times, left the gas in (because I'm a dummy). Sunday it won't start. Emptied old gas, pulled / cleaned carb put in a new spark plug tonight.
It started, ran for 2 mins, made a big pop, shot a few quick flames out the exhaust and died. Now when you pull the cord, it pops with a single flame and won't start. Now it's beyond my knowledge.

No way of knowing what you have. It could be a mower or a handheld equipment. All we know is it has an engine.

Need the equipment model number at least to start looking the Cub Cadet up. And it engine model and spec/type number will also be needed.

For those that are trying to help this snowblower has the MTD 675-WUB engine.

For some reason raw fuel is in the exhaust. Can be an ignition timing problem. Check that ignition is mounted correctly and not loose. Also check the flywheel key for shearing.

IF you do remove the flywheel nut it is to be torqued back to 47-52 ft-lbs to prevent it from shearing the key.
