18 hp horizontal Twin II cam/crank timing
While taking my engine apart to replace a tappet the crank gear came loose from its keyway while pulling the bearing. Now I'm not sure of the cam/crank timing when replacing the gear. I assumed the hole in the cam gear should line up with the keyway in the crank gear between centers of the cam/crank shafts. Am I on the right track or will I need to pull the bearing (again) and do something different?
