Toro 54"ZTR 23HP Kaw doesn't start when warm

starts fine cold but once up to temp won't start again until fully cooled off.

I was told by my mower shop that the engine (Kaw FR691V) has a separate coil for each cyl so it must be a component that supplies ignition to both cylinders, either an ignition module or maybe flywheel pulse sensor.

Need advice on likely culprit and where to look for it.  I am a reasonably good mechanic but if the device(s) are hidden under the flywheel it'll be a shop repair.

thx to anyone taking the time to offer advice.

Don't know about the electronics but you can remove the flywheel fairly easily.

Access the flywheel, loosen the nut/bolt.  Keep towards the end of the threads, (crank JUST STICKING OUT).  Put a pry bar safely between the block and flywheel. (In a safe, solid spot).

Put some pressure on the bar and smack the crank.  The flywheel should pop off.

Also, to check spark, remove the plug(s), connect to wire and ground to head. Crank the engine and check for spark when the issue is occurring to help narrow it down..

So does it have spark when warm? May be easier to use inline tester if you have one since engine is hot

No spark on either cyl when trying to start a hot engine.

If you disconnect kill wire(black), does it spark?

Kill wire goes to both coils. You could just disconnect the kill wire at one coil and check for spark.
